Using mixed media applications, I work to capture the mood of a photograph or the day, plein air, in a painting. I endeavour to represent movement and change, ever conscious of our quicksilver weather. Layering the canvas, initially with textured gels, gesso and varnish, I then apply acrylic paint, and finally, detail with acrylic inks for figures and shadow. My still life work is created using surface texture for depth and power and layering paint.

I exhibited paintings at the 2021 AppArt exhibition, celebrating their 20th anniversary show. I also exhibited a series of flower paintings at the Mayne Gallery, Devon in 2021.

In 2020 Parasols at Dawn was longlisted for the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition.

I was selected to showcase a series of 5 abstract paintings in the Made in Britain Exhibition at the Galerie du Monde in 2019.

In 2017 Safe Harbour was awarded the David Yellop Aacdemy Award at the PACS exhibition in Hampshire. Also in 2017, two paintings were auctioned for the Parkinson UK charity and the David Nott Foundation.
